Topic 3: Strategies for Developing IGCS from Startup to Scale Up – International Perspective

Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector has witnessed significant growth since the discovery of oil and gas resources. Some companies the emerged as Start-up companies have matured overtime and even operating in emerging oil and gas countries, while others are struggling to take-off. As the country seeks to deepen local participation and enhance value retention in-country, fostering the growth of Indigenous Ghanaian companies in the sector has become a top priority.,

Panelists will explore strategies for nurturing and supporting the development of homegrown companies in Ghana’s upstream petroleum industry, drawing on international perspectives and best practices. In particular, they will proffer proven solutions for scaling up start-up companies in the industry with respect to how, technological, financial, market, corporate governance etc. constraints could be address by corporate leaders and policy makers.
